SENIOR TRAINING PROGRAMS

Our Senior Dance Programs will transform your dancer and ignite their passion!

Your child will find our Senior Programs to be extremely beneficial, exciting and rewarding. Whether your child wishes to dance for fitness, fun or to take their dance education to the next level, our classes are perfect for your family.

Our curriculum caters for absolute beginners to the dedicated dancer.

Classes available:

  • Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus)

  • Contemporary/Lyrical

  • Jazz

  • Stretching & Body Conditioning

  • Private Coaching

  • Part-Time Extension Program

Royal Academy of Dance Examinations are offered to all students attending the required number of classes per week. We believe that examinations provide an attainable goal for students to work towards and are encouraged by the school, however they are not compulsory

 

Pre-Senior Training Program

Students in our Pre-Senior Training program have an access to an array of classes that will enhance their training as a young artist. Within our Pre-Senior program we introduce pointe preparation/pointe work into their weekly schedule in addition to Body Conditioning.

Suitable for students in years 6-8

  • Monday, Wednesday

Senior Training Program

Institute of Dance’s Senior Training Program offers immense opportunities to young aspiring dancers offering a broad range of styles and training options to suit all students. Your child will improve drastically and be guided by our professional and nurturing staff to their full potential.

Suitable for students in years 9+

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Senior Extension Program

The Senior Extension program operates during Hunter School of the Performing Arts sport time from 1:30pm - 5:15pm.

Students have opportunity to partake in the following classes:

  • Variations & Repertoire

  • Pointe Strengthening & Conditioning

  • Open Classical Class

To be part of this program you do not need to be an enrolled student of Institute of Dance, we welcome all to attend.
